Welcome to Youth Group at Council Tree Covenant!
For us, Christian Community is simple. We gather to have fun, expand our faith, and share in life's joys but also trials.
Fun - It is said that if you're not laughing you're not living. Jesus knew this when He remarked - "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Students often remark that youth group is fun - that's how we know we are doing things right.
Faith - We engage a student's faith in mind, body, and heart. Discussions are complex, lively, and nuanced. This is not a time to absorb fatih, but to tackle faith with your hardest questions and liveliest beliefs. But we also know that faith is more than an intellectual challenge. We must engage faith through experience! Our hearts have to be challenged to take a leap of faith. This is most encouraged through the example and story of leadership.
Life - Middle School and High School are challenging years. Not just because of school. During this time we struggle with fear of judgement from others, social pressures to conform, rejection from friends, and so much more. We hope and pray that the youth group is a place to bring it all - the good, the bad, and the ugly. There in age and gender appropriate space we allow students the freedom to be themselves - to express their hearts in a way that grants peace.
We hope you are inspired to bring your student to our sacred space to encounter Jesus through love and joy.
